Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2024-04-04T15:23Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
Activity ID: 2024-04-04T15:23:00-CME-001 (version 3)
Note Keyword:
Faint: Faint event; may affect type assignment
FF: Event fails/disappears before exiting COR2
GAP: Data gap
Source Signature Keyword:
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
Morphology Keyword:
FS: Flux Rope and Shock Candidate
Note: Faint partial halo CME seen to the southwest in both coronagraphs. No source has been found on the Earth-facing disk and the only possible coronal signature of this CME is a very faint movement of field lines seen in the southwest in SDO AIA 171 around 2024-04-04T15Z, indicating the likely farsided source. A speculative farsided source could be former AR 13615, calculated to currently be at ~156 degrees of longitude.

Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type |

Analysis based solely on the fit with two coronagraphs. The resulting longitude corresponds well to the longitude of an active region seen on the far side. |
1: Result 1 (2.0 AU)
OSIRIS-APEX = 2024-04-08T01:46Z
